Residents of Chester and Delaware County marched in solidarity for the creation of an air monitoring ordinance. "KEEP THEM HONEST!", they chanted while holding up hand made signs that spelled out their demand for local incinerators (polluters) to install air monitoring equipment. It would give the surrounding public access to air quality readings. This live information could be posted on the internet, empowering residents through informing them of what exactly is being burned and when on a 24 hour basis. This Air Monitoring would also ensure that local polluters stay within their permit limits when burning toxic chemicals and waste.
