HARRISBURG, Pa. -Gov. Ed Rendell and legislative leaders reached a budget deal Friday to end Pennsylvania's distinction as the last state still fighting over its annual spending plan.
The $27.95 billion budget would raise tax rates on some businesses, raise the cigarette tax to 25 cents per pack and draw more than $1.5 billion from state reserves.

Despite how many dirty problems there were with the supposed "green" energy bill various climate groups supported it in order to ensure that their personal programs and agendas were funded by the bill.
Is money enough reason to push for a dirty-green bill when the people who will be hurt most by it are the working poor and people of color? I think not! Continue
